Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty, Claims British Lord

The Minnesota Free Market Institute hosted an event at Bethel University in St. Paul on Wednesday evening. Keynote speaker Lord Christopher Monckton, former science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, gave a scathing and lengthy presentation, complete with detailed charts, graphs, facts, and figures which culminated in the utter decimation of both the pop culture concept of global warming and the credible threat of any significant anthropomorphic climate change.
A detailed summary of Monckton’s presentation will be available here once compiled. However, a segment of his remarks justify immediate publication. If credible, the concern Monckton speaks to may well prove the single most important issue facing the American nation, bigger than health care, bigger than cap and trade, and worth every citizen’s focused attention.
Here were Monckton’s closing remarks, as dictated from my audio recording:
At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed. Your president will sign it. Most of the third world countries will sign it, because they think they’re going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regime from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won’t sign it.
I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfication of what is called, coyly, “climate debt” – because we’ve been burning CO2 and they haven’t. We’ve been screwing up the climate and they haven’t. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement.
How many of you think that the word “election” or “democracy” or “vote” or “ballot” occurs anywhere in the 200 pages of that treaty? Quite right, it doesn’t appear once. So, at last, the communists who piled out of the Berlin Wall and into the environmental movement, who took over Greenpeace so that my friends who funded it left within a year, because [the communists] captured it – Now the apotheosis as at hand. They are about to impose a communist world government on the world. You have a president who has very strong sympathies with that point of view. He’s going to sign it. He’ll sign anything. He’s a Nobel Peace Prize [winner]; of course he’ll sign it.
[laughter]
And the trouble is this; if that treaty is signed, if your Constitution says that it takes precedence over your Constitution (sic), and you can’t resign from that treaty unless you get agreement from all the other state parties – And because you’ll be the biggest paying country, they’re not going to let you out of it.
So, thank you, America. You were the beacon of freedom to the world. It is a privilege merely to stand on this soil of freedom while it is still free. But, in the next few weeks, unless you stop it, your president will sign your freedom, your democracy, and your prosparity away forever. And neither you nor any subsequent government you may elect will have any power whatsoever to take it back. That is how serious it is. I’ve read the treaty. I’ve seen this stuff about [world] government and climate debt and enforcement. They are going to do this to you whether you like it or not.
But I think it is here, here in your great nation, which I so love and I so admire – it is here that perhaps, at this eleventh hour, at the fifty-ninth minute and fifty-ninth second, you will rise up and you will stop your president from signing that dreadful treaty, that purposeless treaty. For there is no problem with climate and, even if there were, an economic treaty does nothing to [help] it.
So I end by saying to you the words that Winston Churchill addressed to your president in the darkest hour before the dawn of freedom in the Second World War. He quoted from your great poet Longfellow:
Sail on, O Ship of State!
Sail on, O Union, strong and great!
Humanity with all its fears,
With all the hopes of future years,
Is hanging breathless on thy fate!
Lord Monckton received a standing ovation and took a series of questions from members of the audience. Among those questions were these relevent to the forthcoming Copenhagen treaty:
Question: The current administration and the Democratic majority in Congress has shown little regard for the will of the people. They’re trying to pass a serious government agenda, and serious taxation and burdens on future generations. And there seems to be little to stop them. How do you propose we stop Obama from doing this, because I see no way to stop him from signing anything in Copenhagen. I believe that’s his agenda and he’ll do it.
I don’t minimize the difficulty. But on this subject – I don’t really do politics, because it’s not right. In the end, your politics is for you. The correct procedure is for you to get onto your representatives, both in the US Senate where the bill has yet to go through (you can try and stop that) and in [the House], and get them to demand their right of audience (which they all have) with the president and tell him about this treaty. There are many very powerful people in this room, wealthy people, influential people. Get onto the media, tell them about this treaty. If they go to www.wattsupwiththat.com, they will find (if they look carefully enough) a copy of that treaty, because I arranged for it to be posted there not so long ago. Let them read it, and let the press tell the people that their democracy is about to be taken away for no good purpose, at least [with] no scientific basis [in reference to climate change]. Tell the press to say this. Tell the press to say that, even if there is a problem [with climate change], you don’t want your democracy taken away. It really is as simple as that.
Question: Is it really irrevocable if that treaty is signed? Suppose it’s signed by someone who does not have the authority, as I – I have some, a high degree of skepticism that we do have a valid president there because I -
I know at least one judge who shares your opinion, sir, yes.
I don’t believe it until I see it. … Would [Obama's potential illegitimacy as president] give us a reasonable cause to nullify whatever treaty that he does sign as president?
I would be very careful not to rely on things like that. Although there is a certain amount of doubt whether or not he was born in Hawaii, my fear is it would be very difficult to prove he wasn’t born in Hawaii and therefore we might not be able to get anywhere with that. Besides, once he’s signed that treaty, whether or not he signed it validly, once he’s signed it and ratified it – your Senate ratifies it – you’re bound by it. But I will say one thing; they know, in the White House, that they won’t be able to get the 67 votes in the Senate, the two-thirds majority that your Constitution has stipulated must be achieved in order to ratify a treaty of this kind. However, what they’ve worked out is this – and they actually let it slip during the election campaign, which is how I know about it. They plan to enact that Copenhagen treaty into legislation by a simple majority of both houses. That they can do. But the virtue of that – and here you have a point – is that is, thank God, reversible. So I want you to pray tonight, and pray hard for your Senate that they utterly refuse to ratify the [new] Treaty of Copenhagen, because if they refuse to ratify it and [Obama] has to push it through as domestic legislation, you can repeal it.
Regardless of whether global warming is taking place or caused to any degree by human activity, we do not want a global government empowered to tax Americans without elected representation or anything analogous to constitutional protections. The Founding Fathers would roll over in their graves if they knew their progeny allowed a foreign power such authority, effectively undoing their every effort in an act of Anti-American Revolution. If that is our imminent course, we need to put all else on hold and focus on stopping it. If American sovereignty is ceded, all other debate is irrelevant.
Edited to add @ 8:31 am:
Skimming through the treaty, I came across verification of Monckton’s assessment of the new entity’s purpose:
38. The scheme for the new institutional arrangement under the Convention will be based on three basic pillars: government; facilitative mechanism; and financial mechanism, and the basic organization of which will include the following:
World Government (heading added)
(a) The government will be ruled by the COP with the support of a new subsidiary body on adaptation, and of an Executive Board responsible for the management of the new funds and the related facilitative processes and bodies. The current Convention secretariat will operate as such, as appropriate. To Redistribute Wealth (heading added)
b) The Convention’s financial mechanism will include a multilateral climate change fund including five windows: (a) an Adaptation window, (b) a Compensation window, to address loss and damage from climate change impacts [read: the "climate debt" Monckton refers to], including insurance, rehabilitation and compensatory components, © a Technology window; (d) a Mitigation window; and (e) a REDD window, to support a multi-phases process for positive forest incentives relating to REDD actions. With Enforcement Authority (heading added)
© The Convention’s facilitative mechanism will include: (a) work programmes for adaptation and mitigation; (b) a long-term REDD process; © a short-term technology action plan; (d) an expert group on adaptation established by the subsidiary body on adaptation, and expert groups on mitigation, technologies and on monitoring, reporting and verification; and (e) an international registry for the monitoring, reporting and verification of compliance of emission reduction commitments, and the transfer of technical and financial resources from developed countries to developing countries. The secretariat will provide technical and administrative support, including a new centre for information exchange [read; enforcement].

Brought to my attention via an e-mail from Minnesota Majority, this clip of Monckton’s closing remarks taken by a higher quality mic than my own. The transcript above hardly does justice to his delivery.
Editor’s note: Corrected transcript above upon receipt of this higher quality audio. The word “prosperity” had been incorrectly transcribed as “humanity.”
Edited to add @ 2:30am October 18, 2009:
Commenter “Ralph” provides another link to a copy of the New Copenhagen Treaty which Monckton referenced and wattsupwiththat.com posted. This time it comes from an official United Nations website. There is no doubt now. This document is authentic.

Ours is a government of, by, and for the People of the United States and I don’t believe for one minute that a single person even if he is the temporary head of our government, has the legal right to single handedly give this country away or make it subservient to any other structure. That would require more than his personal choice and I think he would be hard pressed to find the majority of his own party following him like lemmings.
There is an arrogance to his believing he has been empowered to destroy a nation that belongs to all Americans just because he won an elective office that has limitations built into it.
Comment by Helen Holmes — October 15, 2009 #
I agree with you on principle. However, there is a flaw in passively relying on the “limitations” built into the executive office. Those limitations really only exist if enforced. Like any law, if there is no one policing to detect and deter violations, it has no meaning. A cursory examination of American history reveals numerous examples of the built-in limitations of government being violently abused or ignored. At the end of the day we are the limitation on the executive. We are the Law. We have to keep this from happening.

“We are the Law”.–
Right! If need be, a revolution will bring it to an end.
Comment by Ingvend Storrs — October 17, 2009 #
You’re right about the law. We should start by prosecuting Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and maybe Powell for war crimes, violations of the Constitution and failure to properly regulate the financial industry.

US Citizen, where have you spent your working life? Corporations were responsible for creating the highest standard of living the world has ever known. Even the poorest person in America is better off than a poor person in Africa. If it wasn’t for corporations who wold the masses work for. In the glory days millions worked for manufacturing corporations, The computer you typed your comments is a product of a corporation. That came only from entrepreneur imagination. If the mainstream media treated Obama the same as they did Bush, you wouldn’t like him any better. By the way Bill Clinton set this debacle in motion by the repeal in 1998 of controls instituted during the Roosevelt era to help prevent another recession. Another item that maiin stream media failed to call to the American publics attention when it happened.
Regardless of your politics we are all going to get burned if Obama continues to geat a pass by everybody but Fox.
Comment by Joedakota — October 19, 2009 #
u are a fool to believe that he will not do this. he has illegally placed over 30 people as czars that are not responsible to the people or congress. he has done much, much more that is illegal and considered treason bases on our laws. At the G-20 Summits, he has continue to sign over more control by foreign entities than has been made known especially financially for our banks. DO NOT BE FOOOLED INTO THINKING HE CANNOT DO THIS OR WILL NOT. WHY DID HE SPEAK IN BERLIN AND NOT GO TO OUR TROOPS INSTEAD??? HE WANTS TO BE KING OF THE WORLD AND NOT JUST PRESIDENT AND THAT IS WHY IS CITIZENSHIP HAS NO MEANING WHATSOEVER TO HIS GOALS.
Comment by charles wilcox — October 16, 2009 #
We also need to end the corporatization of America. We have a government of business, by business and for business which was inherited by Obama. Our government officials continue to put the corporate profits of their campaign donors over the public good. This all really began with Reagan and continued thru Bush the Younger, including Clinton with a big push by Phil Gramm and the assistance of Larry Summers and Robert Rubin. Reagonomics became Rubinomics and created a Second Gilded Age. We need democracy, not corporatocracy.
Comment by U.S. Citizen — October 19, 2009 #
Spot on, U.S. Citizen. Well said.
Frontline did a wonderful piece tonight on how the free market philosophy of Greenspan, Rubin, and Summers aided and abetted by Clinton and Congress, created the dirivitive nightmare that took down the world economy. I was pleased to see that they included that wonderful video of Greenspan testifying to Congress and admitting that his libertarian, free-market philosophy had been proven wrong. Too bad the kool-aid drinking wingnuts are still slobbering all over thamselves about how any criticism of Capitalism run amok is de facto communism. The real issue is who is going to safe Capitalism from itself.
Comment by Johnbo — October 21, 2009 #
You’re both victims of the puppet show. I’m sorry, but when you refer to Alan Greenspan as a libertarian, you’re obviously out of touch with reality. The very existence of the Federal Reserve is antithetical to a free market. Capitalism doesn’t need to be saved from itself, it needs to be unleashed. Greenspan and his ilk are every bit the socialists Obama is. They all come out of the same school, authoritarianism in the service of the elite. They feign conflict among their manufactured factions to divide and conquer We the People. One of the many results are skewed perspectives like yours which buy into the lie that capitalism is the problem. Capitalism didn’t get us a sub-prime mortgage crises. Government did. Capitalism didn’t spiral us into exponential national debt. Government did. Government is what we need to be saved from, not individuals acting in their own best economic interest.

Lord Monckton is to be complimented on his apprising us of the danger that awaits us if Pres. Obama signs this treaty. Why so many of our fellow citizens attach little or no value to Pres. Obama’s words, boggles the mind. He is a transformative zealot. He means to change the USA from a capitalistic system to a socialistic one. He is dedicated to changing the Constitution. He has opined that the Constitution is flawed because it only states what the government can’t do–not what it can do, He has made the redistribution of wealth one of his top priorities, even though it’s not sanctioned by the Constitution. Pres. Obama is so solipsistic and relativistic, that he mistakes his understandings for wisdom.

Good report.
What Americans truly need to understand in the face of this potential treaty is this:
When the American Revolution occurred, the former colonists wrested the sovereignty of King George III from him, when they drove out the British troops and set up the American Republic.
While not taught in schools, since civics is an unknown subject for most Americans, Americans took on the sovereignty of George III, making every American a sovereign under the common law. In other words, personal sovereignty goes as far as each American’s interest exist in protecting self and family, but not in infringing upon a neighbor who has his or her own sovereignty.
An important principle to always remember is this: Once a person is sovereign, he/she is always sovereign — unless it is volunteered away, by ignorance.
Bottom Line:
Elected officials, while acting as agents for the principals, who are the American people, do not have agency status to transfer sovereignty of their principals to another government, regardless of the language in the Constitution. Remember, the U.S. Constitution was to bind the government, not the American people.
The sovereign American people are higher than the U.S. Constitution. Only government officials who provide an oath or affirmation to support and defend the Constitution come under the criteria of such a document.
So when “Lord” Obama thinks he may transfer the sovereignty of the United States to some foreign government, such an act being a treasonous offense, he does not give away the sovereignty of the American people at large, one whit.
If Obama does sign the treaty, the American people need to call for his impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors. Treason defined is waging war against the several states, i.e. “them” (Constitution, Article III, Sect. 3, Clause 1).
The American people constitute “the state in fact” (case cite omitted), so when an act inimical to their best interests, as will be by the signing of a treaty which purportedly subjugates the jurisdiction of the United States under some foreign body, the signer is waging war against the sovereigns. The sovereign Americans need to act to remove the usurper by the means constituted, since such an act of treason cannot be tolerated.
And if the elected officials do not do the peoples’ will, preferring instead to support a fascist state of corporatism (as described by Benito Mussolini), the American people need to fully understand the extended treasonous acts of Congress, and deal with them accordingly.
The spirit of the American Revolution lives on. It is the right pursuant of the Declaration of Independence for Americans to throw off a government which acts contrary to the will of their principals. This understanding includes regaining the lawful currency control, now under the unlawful hands of the Federal Reserve.
Enough said.

Dear Sir,
Yes, the foundation of the United States was indeed set up as you say. But there is one Major thing you left out … the people have ‘volunteered’ into slavery of the US Corporation. They, and everything Americans own, are ‘assets’ of that US Corporation. The registration of the Birth Cert to the county is what makes you and everything you own THEIR property. We are under an administrative form of law [superimposed upon top of the common law which is still active but very few have learned how to claim back their organic rights and are realistically slaves - no different than plantation slaves of the South]. If you go to court and bring up the constitution the judge will hold you in CONTEMPT and instruct you not to mention the constitution again – until you understand why please don’t spread false hope to people that they have any common-law rights . Study the War Powers Act and in there you will find your remedy and that is all the Judge will listen to. I hate Patriots that think they know what is going on and then everyone who listens to them ends up in Jail.
Comment by Daryl Irwin — October 18, 2009 #
Volunteering is an act of consent.
Consenting to the terms of any contract requires that that consent be given knowingly and willfully.
The American People have done neither, and lac kthe capacity to do either.
They have been denied the education and the information by the mass media form an educated opinion which would form the basis for knowingly and willfully giving their consent. Ineed, it is by the destruction of the educational system, and the ownership and control of the mass media by parties with interests that vastly conflict with those of the average American, that it has been made so.

You are wrong sir. Because you are a coward.Unable to grasp the true meaning of freedom.I for one live in freedom every single day. Because I refuse to beleive that every law upon every law written and put in to force to control us is just.
We have a purpose in life and it is not to serve the so called masters! I have lived totaly free in more ways then you can imagine. I will not incriminate my self here on a public forum, but there are ways to live totaly free in this day and age. The first is to never join the system. I have a Phd and have taught at several institutions I have refused to give my S.S. No. I have driven for years without a drivers licence I have I have obtained loans in this same manner. You see there is a back door to everythig on this earth you just need to find it. I HAVE! and I use it! When you get to the point that you have read 20,000 books and you have made several million dollars,Then please by all means tell me how great this system that you defend works so well for you. I will give my life for freedom!!
I will die for freedom! Will you? I think not! Most of the people that write in to forums always whine and act like the sheep that they are. I say grow a back bone! If they come for me tonight I will take as many with me as I can so that you may sleep. Sacrifice that is what freedom is about, Ever read the federalist papers? I say one thing to all that may read this Educate your self! Turn off the TV the radio and the cellphone. Pick up a nonfiction book and learn so facts.
Also get your self to grow a spine and remember they a public servents, we tell them what to do.

Every time oligarchy pathocrats have had authoritarian followers in government, the education system, and media, they want to rule the world. Why should anyone be surprised that the communists, socialists, fascists, autocrats, collectivists.. all pathocrats, never went away? And now they seed their chance to rule the world, again.
In the USA any treaty in violation of the Constitution is null and void from date of inception. All these pathocrats are doing is signing their death sentence if they try to enslave people. The Constitution was designed to limit federal government, and the purpose of the government is to insure all citizens rights, as enumerated in the Bill of Rights, and their liberties, as described in the Declaration of Independence. But in the end it does not matter how the Constitution and treaty powers are interpretated. In this country if any group, or person, tries to enslave the people, treaty or not, that group or person, is going to die.

Addendum to original reply, on 10-15-09
Some detractors of American sovereignty may proclaim that naturalized citizens and all those having social security numbers have waived their sovereignty under the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. Not.
The good news is that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution was never lawfully ratified by the states in 1868. As evidence of this non-ratification, a judge wrote a report meticulously detailing the circumstances of what led to non-ratification, and that report covering six pages of the Congressional Record was submitted by a congressman also from Louisiana, in 1967.
See the Congressional Record for the House of Representatives, of June 13, 1967, at pages 15641 through 15646 inclusive, as read into the record by Representative John Rarick (D-Louisiana), as was prepared by a member of the state judiciary, Judge Leander H. Perez, of Louisiana.
Just because Congress has not recognized the non-ratification is moot. The evidence has never been challenged, and the implications are enormous.
There is no such thing as a “U.S. citizen”. All Americans are citizens of one of the several states they are domiciled in, and therefore no citizens are subjects of the federal government, as 14th Amendment citizens were construed to be. In late 2005, the Idaho Observer posted an article which detailed the non-ratification of the purported 14th Amendment. See:
http://proliberty.com/observer/20051207.htm
All purported 14th Amendment citizens need to recognize that their sovereignty was never compromised, and they need to review the tenets of personal sovereignty and the powers they actually have under the common law, and to even go to court in what’s called a court of record as a plaintiff to overcome all the courts which operate under Admiralty-Maritime jurisdiction, due to emergency war powers imposed by the U.S. president, re-affirmed at each new presidential inauguration. See:

14th Amendment terms “U.S. citizens” and “U.S. persons” can only be applied to the newly freed slaves of African descent, and their first generation descendants, all now dead, who were “stateless”, and rendered as wards of the federal government in order to provide them some form of badly needed legal protection, similar, but not identical to, that enjoyed by state Citizens of the time.
Whereas white males enjoyed state citizenship and natural rights, the newly freed slaves were provided with mere civil rights as the only available remedy. The solution was and is imperfect, but the best that could be done, short of tossing out the Constitution and 1,000 years of British Common Law and legal tradition going back to the Romans.
When the 14th Amendment was SAID to have been ratified, white male Americans already had their citizenship status well secured, by virtue of being Citizens of their respective states, and no act of congress or constitutional amendment changed that for them. Their descendants, such as myself, have inherited that form of Citizenship from our forefathers, we have NOT been “given” it by the 14th Amendment!
Our rights existed prior to the formation of the state, and of the constitution. They are natural, meaning God-given and INALIENABLE, whereas the rights conferred via the 14th Amendment were given by man, and so can also be taken away as easily. Civil rights are inferior to natural rights, in that they are always subject to revocation by a voting majority.

Then I think it is time we take the gloves off and get to work!
What we see happening didn’t just happen, it was set up.
The progressive commies have been working at it for along time and they told us about it again and again.
The Constitution surely hangs by a thread. Without God’s help this Republic will fall as certain as it was with His help that it was born.
Cicero wisely said: “Just as a builder must have a plan on his paper in order to build wisely and well, so must a people have a Constitution in order to guide them. But we have abandoned our plan and our map so painfully wrought by our fathers. Hence, we have dictators, men/women who lust for centralized power in order to oppress us.”
We must not kid ourselves the people behind this mean to succeed unless “We The People” stop them!!!
We have two choices Freedom or Oppression!!!
God Bless America!!!
Comment by boni — October 16, 2009 #
The Republic has already “fallen”, or none of this would be happening.
THe important questio nto be answered is what it will be replaced by, a new government, “by, of and truly for We The People”, or whatever the corporate globlaist fascist PIGS want to cram down our throats.
WE ARE AT WAR, the enemy is within, they have corrupted and hijacked our government and are now using it against us, and the sooner Americans can wrap their heads around that, the sooner Americans can start acting like it.
The time for peaceful, passive, “wait and see”, “let them fire the first shot”, resistance is OVER! They HAVE fired the first shot, and the second, third, and so on. They have fred millions of shots. Millions of innocent people are DEAD, and now they are finally coming back home to subjugate US.

I share your zeal. Our problem right now is there is no leader to start the fight. Without one, we cannot make a concerted and organized plan. We cannot storm the capital without Patriots who share our resolve. What do we do?
Comment by Louise — October 17, 2009 #
Louise, and everyone, How about our Sarah? Could she help lead the fight or does it have to be someone in congress? Just don’t forget Palin. I feel she would be capable of being a leader in this important movement to save the nation!
Comment by Soapbox Jill — October 17, 2009 #
We don’t need any one leader per say. We need to become leaders. Work where we are, doing what we can. Consider the biblical parable of the talents: Three servants, each entrusted with a talent (money) from their master. One goes out and turns the one into ten. Another goes out and turns the one into five. The last, in fear of losing what he has been given, buries it and does nothing. When the master returns, the first two servants are praised and blessed with greater positions. The last servant is demeaned as unfaithful and cast out as useless. So it is with us. As citizens, our talent is what knowledge and ability we have to affect others and demand accountability from our public servants. To the extent we are faithful and take what we’ve been given and make something of it, we will be blessed. Look around you, right where you’re at. What can you do there? What can you do now? I guarantee there is something. I guarantee it will lead to more.

Several million Americans “lone wolves” with rifles, each with a plan to take out just one of our 3 million or so elitist enemies is a plan.
The list of names is the list of the richest people in the world.
Start by taking out the top 300, then the top 3,000, the the top 30,000, and keep going, until this STOPS. We may have to take out all 3 million. Whatever it takes. Hopefully when the top 300 are gone, the rest will back off and fall in line to be chipped and regulated, so that the rest of us will never have to.

Agreed. Liberty, like tyranny, knows no party. Party platforms change over time. Principles do not. People of principle may emerge from or join any association.
My concern isn’t so much what the Senate will do, but whether what they do will matter. Even if such a “communist world government” is established without the US as an inaugural member, it will stand as a threat to liberty which will relentlessly nip at our heels until it gets its way. We need to take ourselves out of a political mindset and take on a mindset of war, because that’s what’s upon us.

This is CLASS warfare, between about 3 million trans-nationalist corporate globalist elites, and the rest of us.
Being rich is not their crime, the crime is the belief they have that they are naturally fit to rule, and that we are only fit to be ruled, and/or used and disposed of as they wish, like livestock. Their wealth was acquired due to that belief, and is spent pursuing policies and plans based on that belief system, to further and reinforce it.

The problem with the big, corrupt federal government is not Obama, IMO. The problem is that US citizens have evidently not been teaching the Constitution and its history to their children for many decades. Otherwise, even Constitution-savvy grade school children would possibly be able to stop Obama dead in his tracks with respect to making unconstitutional treaties using the following argument.
The Founders made the 10th Amendment to reserve the lion’s share of government power to serve the people to the states, not the Oval Office and Congress. So unless a treaty is based on the narrow powers expressly delegated to Congress in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, the President and Congress can’t negotiate issues unrelated to those powers with foreign nations.
And by the way. My interpretation of how the President’s powers to negotiate treaties are limited by Article I, Section 8. is not a new idea by any means. Please consider the following historical excerpt.
What’s going on, IMO, is that state sovereignty-ignorant voters have been electing lawmakers to both the state legislatures and the federal senate who are as state sovereignty-impaired as the voters are. Consequently, these lawmakers have not been doing their jobs to protect state sovereignty by protecting citizens from illegal federal taxes and unconstitutional federal government interference in their lives.
Such interference is evidenced by constitutionally clueless Constitution “expert” Obama running around the globe like a chicken with its head cut off, wheeling and dealing treaties with foreign governments, treaties based on constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers.
Finally, the following link should help give people an idea how state sovereignty-ignorant voters have shot themselves in the foot with big, corrupt federal government as a consequence of the ill-conceived, anti-state sovereignty 16th and 17th Amendments.
Comment by B. Johnson — October 15, 2009 #
Part of the reason for this state sovereignty impairment, as you put it, is not just the ignorance of the voters and elected officials, but the incestuous financial relationships which have been created between different levels of government (i.e. the Feds pay for your new bridge in exchange for mandating their traffic laws). This will be the main point of discussion in the upcoming episode of the Fightin Words podcast.

Well the President can sign it but it has to ratified by a 2/3 majority of the Senate and it does not supercede the Bill of Rights at anytime (the bill of rights is protected from any treaty) and a President can cancel our involvement in the treaty at anytime.
Comment by Cindy — October 15, 2009 #
There are several problems with relying on any of these provisions for protection, all of which stem from the point I made in a comment above – the law is only the law if enforced. As Monckton points out, even if the treaty is not ratified, it may still be enacted via domestic legislation. To take comfort in the mere existence of the Bill of Rights is folly, I believe. If there is a significant refusal by our leadership to recognize those rights and conduct themselves by the principles upon which our founding documents were based, the mere existence of words on paper mean nothing. Lastly, I would point out that this new world government entity would not likely let us go without a fight. It will be much easier to avoid the initial entanglement than to try and untangle ourselves down the road.

The arrogance of elected officials is caused, in my opinion, by their perception the people aren’t really watching and, if they are, they’re not keeping track. They really can’t be blamed for that perception, as David Brooks pointed out in his hit piece regarding conservative talk radio, calls and letters are not what move elected officials. They care only about poll numbers, only about electibility. Rare is the public servant who will act on or be persuaded by principle.

This president and any further actions of this type must be stopped NOW!! Obama truly cares NOTHING about America’s sovereignty and looks forward torward destroying our democracy and everything America stands for. America has been dumbed-down in the past few decades which, along with his race, is the main reason he got elected and, yes, it’s highly likely that his presidency is illegitimate. Obama is an evil, wicked man hell-bent on becoming a full-fledged dictator. He & his administration do everything very underhandedly, always with a lame explanation every time they get caught at it, which is often.
So, yes, he’ll gladly sign that treaty because power, not freedom is what he truly cares about. We must get the word out about this!

I have seen that second video before. It’s interesting, although I’m not sure I buy it. When conversing in Christian circles, seriously considering the identity of Anti-Christ, I have posited what I believe to be the more likely scenario that Obama is to Anti-Christ what John the Baptist was to Jesus, the herald of He who comes.
The first vid is hilarious, and would be more so if it weren’t also sadly a accurate depiction of Obama’s worship from some quarters.

Exactly what I have been saying, That Obama is the forerunner to the soon coming anti-Christ. Does that make him the false prophet? I believe the Anti-Christ will come out of Europe and I’m looking at Prince Charles of Wales as a candidate that seems to fit.
Comment by Debra Carmona — October 17, 2009 #
My eschatology is rusty, which is a shame because it’s one of my favorite subjects. I have no idea who on the scene now might be a good candidate for Anti-Christ. I believe it more likely he is not on the scene now. The reason I tend to think that is because my understanding of Anti-Christ is that he will sweep through out of nowhere and gather to him all but a very few. We’re talking about a guy who will be able to charm virtually anyone, someone who will be able to get the world to truly believe peace and utopia are possible. I see no one on the scene now who comes close to that. I would say, when you see someone whose message is so slick you find yourself starting to believe it along with the rest of the world, that’s your guy. Those who dissent will be few and “crazy.”

It seems Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America (via a sleepy village in Kenya called Nyang’oma K’Ogelo) can do no wrong. The question on everyone’s lips — mine too — this weekend is “Does Obama deserve the Nobel Peace Prize?”
Everyone is asking: Why Obama? What has he done? What has he achieved? How can the Nobel people be so smitten with the man? As I was listening to the BBC when the news broke, I found myself smiling. All the newsreaders were slightly incredulous. You could hear a tone in their voice that suggested the news editor had made a mistake, filing an April Fool’s story in October. However, their professionalism soon took over and it became a ‘real story’, complete with congratulatory quotes from the likes of Hamid Karzai, Angela Merkel, and others.
The story got me thinking about the famous saying: ‘a week is a long time in politics’.
What a week for the man… on Monday people had written off our famous ‘son’ because his charm had failed to convince the International Olympic Committee and the gods on Mount Olympus that Chicago deserved the 2016 Olympics. Come Friday, and howzat! To use a cricketing phrase that I hear my husband use when he is excited, the Nobel Committee was clean bowled (middle stump, bails flying) with the literal first bowl of the first over – Obama convinced the Norse gods in Valhalla that he deserved perhaps the biggest individual prize available. I think someone up there was smiling at the irony of it all… A neophyte wins what many people have aspired to… you could hear the surprise in his statement broadcast soon thereafter to the world. He said he was ‘surprised and humbled’ by the award.
‘This Obama mania has got to stop’, I heard a few people say on the radio. What can one man do? How can they award him such an important prize when the past few months have been a failure? The US is about to implode, they said, with a fratricidal fight (a new civil war to be blamed on black people?) about healthcare, precipitated by his inaction and lack of leadership. The Middle East peace process is a shambles. He has been snubbed by the Israelis, Saudis, Iranians, North Koreans… We even had the temerity to tell the new kid on the block to have diplomatic manners! It was suggested that he should decline the award because it is ‘premature’. I even heard an American suggesting on the BBC that the award should have gone to former US President George Bush because at least he did ‘something’ with his presidency (as if running the whole world into a big hole in eight short years can be described as just ‘something’)!
In choosing to honour President Obama out of 205 possible nominees, the Nobel Committee stated: “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future. His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population. “We are awarding Obama for what he has done,” the Nobel Committee said. “Many other people and leaders and nations have to respond in a positive way” to Obama’s diplomacy.
Fancy words. Full of meaning, extolling the virtues of hope and a desire for a better world than the world in which we live that is full of trouble and despair. One can call it a wake up call to the world, similar to the call the Nobel Prize Committee made in 2004 when they honoured one lady from the slopes of Mount Kenya called Wangari Muta Maathai, for planting trees and calling for a better use of our fragile planet’s resources. What more can be said about the need to create a better, more sustainable world? As the world’s greatest consumer of all resources, the US needs to lead the way in all spheres to reduce the strain placed on our global ecosystem. Can he do it? Will the Americans let him? I wonder.
If the Americans cannot agree on something as fundamental as healthcare for all, something that even a poor nation like Kenya strives to provide for its citizens, can these most wasteful of human beings accept a change in lifestyle, even for their own good? Only time will tell.

Hi, I am not surprised by the treaty modalities at all. It is consistent with the political science that propels this agenda forward. The purpose of this global treaty is more pernicious than has been analyzed above. Please see Letter to Editor: Understanding the Political Science behind Global Warming February 07, 2009
http://print-humanbeingsfirst.blogspot.com/2009/02/letter-polisci-behind-global-warming.html
That letter identified a key political science purpose behind the globalists’ construct of ‘carbon credit’.
Excerpt:
And as is entirely obvious from Mr. Gideon Rachman’s article why this is politically motivated, the reasons become clear why this confusion is deliberately being created. If you accept the Capitalist conspiracy for world government, as I have described it, and if you accept the NSSM-200 agenda for population reduction as I have also described it, tying in the hand of Rockefeller to the UN and their agenda for population reduction (citations for these statements are in my various essays), then you must realize why the ruling elite wants to control ‘life activity’, and carbon-credit is their architecture of control!
It is somewhat akin to acquiring control of a nation’s money supply in the guise of managing the economy better. Few in the public understand why such a control is bad anyway, but those who do try to understand it are thrown layers upon layers of obfuscation. Something similar is happening here. Think of acquiring control of ‘carbon-credits’ almost equivalent to acquiring control of a nation’s money supply! This will control every aspect of sustaining life, just as control of money determines every aspect of sustaining the economy. You name it, between the two of them, it will control it in a world-government. And the first recipient of these controls, the carbon-credit specifically, is the developing world, the Global South, because that is where development must be arrested, and populations thinned out! Just as control of money was first exercised where there was a superfluity of industry and commerce, control of ‘carbon-credit’ is intended to be exercised where there is a superfluity of populations aspiring to grow their nascent economies!
Now, whether there is planetary-level (solar-system level) global warming, or global cooling, is also an entirely orthogonal issue from human contribution to despoiling its environment. Both the former two factors, if they are dominant, tend to occupy the higher order bit relative to human contribution. Wit the Ice-age, followed by the Holocene age. No factories and polluting industries were present then. Unless we explode 10 hydrogen bombs in geostrategic locations to usher in a manmade nuclear winter (and I exaggerate, a smaller number will surely do it), the contribution from coal and cow’s emissions (the latter, believe it or not, is also apportioned carbon-credit as I have humorously read somewhere) remain in the lower order bits. They are surely non-zero, and if planetary-level climactic changes in the solar system become normal, as they do between their cyclic extremes, then these lower order bits will become the new higher order bits for management. That’s just common sense.
So there are two real issues. First is the following scientific measurement – which can be fairly objective – what is the temperature activity in the solar system. For instance, is Mars cooling down or heating up in the past decades. Since there is no known life or industry on Mars, that can readily answer the question quite accurately for earth too. But better and longer running data is available for earth as well, which is why scientists are dissenting as noted in the Senate Minority Report that I have cited in my response to Mr. Gideon Rachman! I do not know of a single lay person who has actually read that report as yet, or its 2007 predecessor report from last year. Most arguments are religiously being fanned out of sheer ignorance, rather than simply asking the quantifiable questions: what is the empirical measurement data (instead of the sociological one)? How was it taken, where was it taken, what time span does it measure, and what is the conclusion?
The second real issue is the sociological one … , such as oil consumption, human activity, etc. Please apply those concerns to the Western world first, and specifically to the Americans, not to the entire world, as the affluent Global North is, and has been, the biggest pig. In the Global South, people can hardly make ends meet, they barely subsist on dollar a day wage. And 2/3rd of all humanity lives there. They are routinely harvested of not only what’s under their soil, but also what’s above it, trees! Thus notice how Rachman has employed the mantra of Global Warming. Even if one assumes for the sake of making the following point that it is the man-made coefficient which is dominant – Gideon Rachman does not advocate that the Western world create a protocol to reduce their gluttonous consumption, but jumps straight to world government! And as everyone knows, the biggest violators of Kyoto, were indeed the Americans themselves. They refused to ratify it! And that, is indeed the second real issue.

Ordinarily I’m not so cynical, but WTF, empty talk about what to ‘do’ is wearing thin. We’re waiting for some kind of big, signal event to push us, as a group, off the fence, while they kill us with a thousand small cuts. Congress has sold us out, the cops are against us, I don’t know WTF the military is thinking but they don’t seem to be on ‘our’ side, the central bankers are looting the country, and going out looking for trouble doesn’t seem like such a bright idea. So, all we can do is wait and talk about it. ‘Oh, look, they’re cutting off my toes. Oh, look, they’re cutting off my foot. Oh, look, they’re cutting off my leg.” I know. I’ll go out with a bang. My own private Alamo. My wife and four kids still living at home might not like that idea, but I guess that’s the way the country crumbles. If you stumble across my carcus in the burned out hulk of my house, you’re welcomed to it. Check my back pocket. You’ll find a note where I hide my stash. Good luck.

The Constitution, in fact, does speak to treaties under a separate governing principle. In fact, the Supremacy Clause, Article VI, §2, as interpreted by the Supreme Court is superior to any [*1009] state constitution or state statute (BALDWIN v. FRANKS 1887) and recognized by states courts in MISSOURI v. ARNOLD (1941).
I would add that, with regard to federal statutes, lex posterior (giving precedence to newer law) applies (COOK v. U.S. 1933).
Treaty nullification can, therefore, be effected by statute, if one follows LEM MOON SING v. U.S., (1895).
Following this line, would Martin say that Congress can nullify the Constitution (which of course it can via the amending process found in Article V)?
The Court also noted in DOE v. BRADEN (1853) that the Constitution is superior to treaties, but federal courts can not nullify treaties even if there is a conflict between the two agents as found in FELLOW v. BLACKSMITH (1857).
Perhaps the strongest Court statement is found in REID v. COVERT (1957), with the decision that no treaty can override the Constitution.

The Constitution created the federal government. Without the constitution, there is no federal government. Any treaty that would destroy the constitution, also destroys the federal government along with it, which reverts all authority previously delegated back to the states.
Since the federal government made the treaty, and may no longer exist as a result, the treaty itself is made null and void the minute it is signed. It is a poison suicide pill for the federal government, but not for the states.

For those who think the Constitution will protect us from this treaty:
Look what is happening to the birther movement. They are labeled “kooks” for attempting to make sure Obama is Constitutionally eligible to be president. In future, people will be labeled “kooks” for attempting to make sure we are not bound by un-Constitutional treaties. It is foolish to sit back allow an un-Constitutional treaty to be ratified in the hopes that it will be undone later.

I have been trying to find a copy of this treaty – anyone have a UN site for it. I do not want to get it from any place other than the UN so there will be no dispute about its authenticity
Comment by Nancy Corbin — October 16, 2009 #
Let us suppose for a moment that the treaty provided by Monckton at http://www.wattsupwiththat.com is not authentic. Should we not still be able to get a commitment from our elected officials to reject and petition against even the mere hypothetical? What is undisputed is there will be a climate change conference in Copenhagen in December. The purpose of that conference, as outlined on the official website for the conference, is to serve as a “convention” with “delegations” representing governmental “parties.” This is the language of treaty. Then consider some of the rhetoric throughout the site, such as India’s Minister of Forests and Environments Jairam Ramesh who is quoted on an official conference blog, “We come to Copenhagen as an interested party – as a deal maker…” Clearly, there is intent. If Monckton’s accusation is true, and if the intention is to some degree sinister, why would the UN tip their hand by posting the contents of the treaty before it is presented at the conference?
That said, if a copy can be found from a more official source, I will post it here. I will also email it to you personally.

“Global warming” is morphing into “climate change,” but whatever it’s called it is all about power politics. It is more political science than physical science. Just as the Nazis built their racial programs on Darwin and the science of eugenics, so today’s science is appropriated and manipulated for political purposes. Al Gore demonstrated that in spades.
Unless ObamAlexrod, Inc. is stopped, the same international forces that control our money may soon control the means of sustaining life activity. Then we the sheeple will have been well and truly shorn.

Remember there are about 10,000 of them who are orchestrating this, and far, far fewer at the top who are defining the goals and plans. There are approximately 6.7 billion of us which means we out number them 670,000 to one. If even just 1% of the world stood together that would be 67 million people who would still outnumber them about 6700 to one. What we the people need to do is get organized and start working together to form our own resistance networks local and international. We also need to stop fighting each other for stupid reasons like racism, religious-orientation, political alignment, country of origin, etc., I believe many of these conflicts of ideas have been created by those who wish to control us by divide and conquer methods. This is reaching to the point where it looks like a fascist totalitarian world government is being installed to enslave the entire human species. It is time for humanity to stand up for itself. Remember it was only 3% of the population that won the war for American independence, now we might have to do the same but on a world scale. If you search online it is easy to figure out who the large criminal families at the top orchestrating this are, we should aim to stop these few elite people, once their power is taken away the people of the world can take their power back.

Thank you for this article – it has been posted on my local “9/12″ site for consumption. I do have some reservations about ringing the alarm on this at such an early stage however. I do agree that if all the allegations are true this represents a danger. I also agree that Constitutional protections are only as good the citizens who are willing to attempt to enforce them, and then only as good as the courts reviewing the challenge. I would remind some that since the FDR administration, the courts have led the way in doing violence to the Constitution (primarily through the “commerce clause” cases). Thus, placing trust in some future court challenge to the enforceability of a treaty signed by the Executive is of dubious value. I regrettably have lost a great deal of faith in the judicial branch, more recently followed by a similar loss of faith in the other two branches. At this point my faith lies in only two places – in God and in the people of the U.S., in that order. Returning to the point – further verification is needed, followed by quick and decisive action. Anything less is a defeat.
Vigilance-Courage-Action-Tenacity. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.
Comment by Phil C — October 16, 2009 #
Your discretion is a product of wisdom. However, I would add to your point regarding the courts that waiting to take action after the fact constitutes less than even defensive action. Approaching our congressmen now, sounding the alarm if you will, and demanding they look into it along with us and take a principled stance against even just the mere concept is the minimum defensive action, in my opinion.
Listen, this is a war. I know how that sounds. It does not sound sober. It does not sound reasonable. It does not sound civil. But it is true. Anti-American radicals are intent on “fundamentally transforming the country.” Having fully embraced the tactics of Saul Alinsky, deception in the name of political jihad, they are not going to conveniently tip their hand so we can call them. We have to rely on tells. We have to rely on the information at hand. We have to make educated guesses and proceed aggressively in defensive of our Constitution. We must not make the fatal mistake of proceeding as though we are dealing with people who seek the same ends and disagree as to the means. These are enemies domestic.
Here is the text of my messages to my elected representatives in Congress. I believe it a reasonable call to action:
Wednesday night at an event hosted by the Minnesota Free Market Institute at Bethel University, Lord Christopher Monckton, former adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, gave a presentation on climate change. At the end of his presentation, he closed with a warning to the crowd regarding a treaty President Obama is poised to sign at this December’s United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. This treaty will effectively cede US sovereignty to a newly created global government, as overtly stated in the current draft, page 18, item 38; a link to the PDF is provided below.
It is my expectation that you will fulfill your oath to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States by petitioning the president, your fellow members of the Senate, and your colleagues in the House to do everything in their power to keep this country out of that treaty. The Founding Fathers would roll over in their graves if they knew their progeny allowed a foreign power such authority, effectively undoing their every effort in an act of Anti-American Revolution. This is neither hyperbole nor rhetoric. This treaty would leave us accountable to a global governing agency with zero elected representation and zero constitutional protections. It must not be signed!
Thank you. I would appreciate a response indicating your position on the treaty and your intended course of action.

I wholly agree that we are in a “war” with “enemies domestic,” and I do not view your position as either non-sober or unreasonable. On the contrary, given recent history I see this as entirely believable and in line with the general trend of the administration and Congress. I would simply state that this “war” is fought with words as ammunition, and credibility is the “caliber” of that ammunition. For this reason, I will engage a trustworthy source inside Congress to bring his resources to bear on this matter. With his confirmation, I will then take action as suggested, and will also “spread the word” further.
Thank you for the suggested letter language – and for your courage and willingness to act. Keep up the good work – I will let you know if our beliefs are confirmed from the “inside.”

I see this entire delima, what makes no sense is the companies that got insanely rich from shooting all the carbon out are simply moving from the place of penalty and going to the places of no penalty, to make more carbon and more riches. It would seem to me if this was truely in the interest of making someone pay for the global warming and carbon build up, it would be reasonable to “FINE” the companies doing so, not the countries that housed the companies doing so. This is like putting a hotel owner in prison because he rented the murder a room. These radicals act as if everything was done with malice and everyone knew global warming would be a problem. Why are the American People being held responsible for the industrial decisions, 9999% of us didn’t profit off the supposed crime, we just made a living.
The global corporations that made the trillions off all this so called global warming are just uprooting from here, as many already have, and go to the places where they are allowed to make more carbon, this gives the major corporations trillions of more dollars, just like the wall street banks that got bailed out, they made problems, they won in the end, this is the same thing, they are rewarding the very corporations that created the supposed problem. Plus, with the cost of business going way up because of all the regualtions, this will mean it will be harder for any new start up competetion for the big corporations, which means more monopolies and higher cost. Notice how the government says the banks are to big to fail, then they say they want to cut them down to size so they aren’t to big to fail, then amazingly every week bigger banks take over smaller failed banks. The politiicians constantly contradict themselves.
So, once again the American people will get stuck paying the price for the real criminals, the global banks that will make money relocating business from developed nations to un developed nations, the corporations that relocate and get $1 day labor. And what is the point of it? So the global corporations can pollute there instead of here? Pollution is pollution no matter whereit is made according to them so why move around the world? This is simpley a way for the global corporations to make the developing worlds populations pay for them to move to an area with cheaper labor. Notice all these under developed nations say we bought all this crap and we waste to much and yada, yada, yada? Well, isn’t it interesting that emerging economies are now buying that same crap we bought, they are now driving hummers and cadillacs. That tells you waht this is really about. This entire thing is about controlling us and making us pay for the corporations to move around the world, and ultimately it is about creating new consumers for they’re products as the developed countries have already bought all the latest gadgets and we aren’t buying them anymore, but these undeveloped countries have yet to buy all the stuff we have, and that is what the global corporations want, new customers. Look at the population in America, 330 million, but there are 4 or 5 billion potential new customers out there, which market would you go after if you wanted to sell a product? Even if you sell it cheaper and make less per sale, you potentially have a many more sales you can do out there once these markets are built up. This is another reason why the government won’t be firm on Radical muslims, there are so many billions of muslims out there, they don’t want to offend anyone because then the corporations jepordize the sale of they’re goods to muslims.
Lastly, if you read the World Bank the IMF and these other entities and how they work in un developed countries, you will see anytime a country wants to boost its economy for it’s people, they are always told the fastest way is to build factories to produce things. The reason is because it is true, when your a productive nation you make tangable things that are still worth something even in a down economy. The American government has said they want us to move to a service oriented economy which produces nothing but intellectual papers and are useless when the crap hits the fan. Notice they tell others the way to prosperity is to build things, and our tells us not to. Basically, we have a bunch of crooks running everything, they are pure criminals. REVOLT!!!!!!!!!!!

Passive resistence. Just say “No.” Refuse to pay property taxes. Refuse the H1N1 vaccine. Practice peaceful civil disobedience. When going through the charade of an election cycle, vote incumbents out of office (even if it means voting for the “other” Party). The only real and lasting solution is a “revolution” of CONSCIOUSNESS. The problem of a violent overthrow of the PTB is that, given the economic/survival issues at play, it will only be a matter of time before the mob turns on itself. Then what?

Don, of course any great movement needs a great number of willing bodies. A perfect example of this type of organization is Acorn.
Of course we know Acorn was a bunch of people getting paychecks, which makes it a phoney organization, ours will not be paid, we will be seeking American Justice under the Constitutional Powers that We the People have.
How was Acorn effective when they sought to blackmail corporations?
They had large groups of people go the the corporations place of business and wreak controlled havoc, and it worked.
Could we do the same thing at town halls, government offices and other government places. If you had such a large number of people going into a government building, literally so many people that people cannot move, vehicals can’t move, work cannot get done, it effectively shuts them down. When this happens people in the building feel physically threatened even though they are not, it is just the perceived choas that insues from the overwhelming crowd that brings the feeling on. Once this happens the political powers that be all the sudden realize we’re not playing games anymore. As a public building we can not be denied as we are tax payers and we essentially own the building. If everyone involved shows up on they’re own valition it cannot be called a protest and a permitt would not be needed? As long as everyone states they came individually with questions pertaining to the business of the office you are in then it cannot be called a conspiricy, and even if it is, we the people have the right to go on public property anytime we feel like it. If acorn can do this to corporations and get away with it, why can’t we?
We should never need a permit to protest our government on our own government grounds in the first place, it is through taxes that we pay that the government entity is even there to begin with, without us, there is no them.
Of course there would be no threats made, not harm or violence, just people showing discontent with government. If the only way the people can hold politicians accountable is by voting, we are doomed. Isn’t it ashame that groups like Acorn can go apply political pressure but we the people can’t unless we have a permitt to do so, this gives the political powers that be time to navigate and spin the event to make themselves look good and the protestors look like rednecks and wacko’s?
Anyone have any insight as to how we can do this or the legal ramifications of doing such a thing?
Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

File “exempt”? That would be illegal.
DO NOT FILE INCOME TAX RETURNS AT ALL.
Perfectly legal, because not 1040 or related tax form has a valid OMB control number assigned to it and displayed. They have numbers, but they are FAKE and invalid. The Paperwork Reduction Act says that there can be NO PENALTY for not filing any federal form requesing information if it does not have and display a VALID OMB control number, and the printed notice notifying the reader of that fact.
Close all bank accounts, credit cards, buy useful, domestically produced goods, food supplies, gold, and silver, and refuse to pay another penny in federal taxes.
If they can shut down our economy for their benefit, we can shut down their economy for ours.
Comment by RJB — October 18, 2009 #
A tax revolt would be nice but business owners I know are terrified of the IRS as it is, I don’t think they would hold out.
Besides the government really don’t need the money right away, they would just print more up.
I’d be willing to hold out but my wife wouldn’t, she’d be terrified of going to jail and being fined a big sum, we have small kids so she would be thinking about what would happen if we were in jail.
Of course the entire concept is based on millions of people not paying and therefore the gov wouldn’t have enough resources to go after everyone, but the IRS can quickly grab your 401K and your bank accounts, they did this to my brother in law last year while they were on vaction, without warning they took all his money and locked his 401K account up, he still hasn’t gotten his money back even after he’s been cleared of no wrong doing, this was 9 minths ago.
Comment by ChexFive — October 17, 2009 #
Business owners had better get over their fears and decide whose side they are on. Its bad business to be on the side of an emerging dictatorship. They had better side with the people, or else.
I’m sick and tired of hearing about business owners who are afraid of the IRS, but have no qualms about stealing their workers wages as unpaid tax collectors for the IRS, of a tax that the workers do not even owe in the first place. In other words, ratherthan fight for their own rights, they would rather violate someone else’s rights on behalf of what amounts to an organized crime syndicate called IRS. It truly nauseates and sickens me that some will so easily rob others to keep themselves from have to fight off the robbers.

These conferences never lead to anything significant (the keyoto protocol is the strongest measure to come from any and it does next to nothing). Do you know how insane you sound with this world government bs. Oboma can’t even get small changes passed domestically with a Democratic house and senate and you think he’s going to sign America over to some world government? Think before you buy this bs hook line and sinker.
Buying into all this bs and saying things like obomo is not a legitimate president and we need a revolution only weaken any valid objections you may have. Stop taking all your information from Fox news and right wing blogs and really think about things. If you look at things in a level headed way you see oboma is less progressive than most presidents we’ve had in the last century.
Comment by You people are crazy — October 17, 2009 #
Please, if I’m wrong about this correct me, but isn’t the reason nothing much has come of the Kyoto agreement (in the US at least) because the United States Congress refused to ratify the treaty? Unless you’re certain that will happen again, which many people are not, then it seems inappropriate to place trust in ‘nothing will happen’ based off of that logic.
Comment by EnderX — October 17, 2009 #
A treaty draft is not a theory. Nor is a scheduled conference where a “deal” is to be made in “convention” with governmental “parties.” Not knowing you or the ideological context in which you make your remark, I am moved to grant you the benefit of some doubt. I would suggest you re-examine your perception of the political spectrum. Progressive is just a buzzword, like “low-fat” or “new and improved.” What we’re really dealing with is statists, authoritarians, people who reject the sovereignty of the individual as recognized by the founding documents of this country. Although I disagree vehemently with your sentiment that Obama is “less progressive than most presidents we’ve had in the last century.” I would agree he has had plenty of precursors. Your implied argument is past authoritarianism justifies present and future authoritarianism. This is not so. You stand willing to have your sovereignty wrenched from you so not to appear “crazy.” Good luck with that. I’ll gladly stand a fool free than a sheep sheared.

Glad you posted this, I did likewise with links back to WUWT because Anthony had the treaty link. While the treaty is a vehicle to achieve, as Algore said himself, “global government,” and we are rightly outraged, don’t lose sight of the more immediate danger–Boxer and Kerry’s Senate version of the Thermageddon legislation. It has to be defeated. It calls for the U.S. government to “assure,” as in underwrite, the carbon market. There is also a section on “international obligations” which has conveniently BEEN LEFT BLANK.
Lurch is calling it a “pollution reduction bill” because he knows the CO2-will-lead-to-world-devastation consensus has been utterly destroyed by real science–yet all the bill talks about is reducing carbon. I suggest you all get a pdf of the draft here:
http://greenhellblog.com/2009/09/29/draft-boxer-bill-available-here/
Comment by cbullitt — October 17, 2009 #
I’m sure that “international obligations” section being left blank has nothing whatsoever to do with this Copenhagen treaty or any potential bid to enact its provisions through domestic legislation.
Comment by Walter Scott Hudson — October 18, 2009 #
I’m with you all on not letting our sovereignty be signed away. I have a thought for you to consider about “reducing carbon”. We the human race are made up of carbon and the abortion rate around the world is statistically higher that at any other time in the history of the world because it has been “legalized” in more countries than ever before. IMO life is given to us by God, if you will, one of our “inalienable rights”; how can man make the decision who has the right to live or die, especially making that decision for an innocent. My point linking to the treaty signing and reducing carbon is a one world gov’t that will reduce the population through abortion as the pagans did in the Old Testament by sacrificing newborns to their false gods. I’m not trying to spout religion, but just want you to be aware that the signs of the Bible are coming to pass and all the activities of the world’s governments have been foretold. If you want to know what’s coming next, just read the Book of Revelation.

It isn’t possible to happen. If Obama wanted to, he would have to get Congress and Senate to agree, and they would have to get a majority of all 50 states to agree to throw out the US Constitution, which the people would not allow–the Constitution allows the people to overthrow such a government.
Comment by hawkeyeaz1 — October 17, 2009 #
hawkeyeaz1, You are wrong. If the feds can grab control of banks, auto industries, and health care industry, with the majority of Americans against it, there is no stopping them from agreeing to treaties that give up America’s sovereign status. The government is already trashing the Constitution by redistributing earned income. That is NOT a constitutional power of the government. The Constitution is just an old piece of paper unless the people abide by it. Government is OUT OF CONTROL already.

Comment by William Taylor — October 17, 2009 #
It is hard to see what is coming down the road, the tyranny barreling towards us, and know what to do. That is the primary problem for most folks, what can you DO about this?
I keep thinking of Sarah Palin. Anyone else consider her as one to stand up and lead? Or would the person really HAVE to be in Washington? She could team up with someone there. BUT the sad truth, the disturbing truth is there may be no one in Washington willing to stand up and lead in what must be done in the coming weeks, months, years…
Comment by Soapbox Jill — October 17, 2009 #
The real problem is that Americans are still half asleep. His whole election was a fraud, and yet no one is making a case about that.
In view of what we know about George Soros and MoveOn.org — and now Acorn and the SEIU — it should be no surprise that ON won the black vote 96% to 4% — and that gave him enough of a margin to overwhelm McCain’s margin among the other 87% of the voters. So this is the first guy ever elected with a majority from 13% of the voters.
Of course, his margins among Jews and Hispanics added to that majority, give him the Jewish by 78% to 22%, and the Hispanic vote by 68% to 32%. Including those groups, his margin among 23% of the voters was enough to overwhelm the other 77%. Without the Hispanic vote, he wouldn’t have taken the Catholic vote either.
The Alinsky method gave him huge margins among a small segment of the voting and ended all the myths about majority rule. Actually, Bill Clinton pioneered this approach when he beat Bush I with the help of Ross Perot, thus becoming the “first black President.”
I saw coming during the primaries and was alone in predicting that Hillary didn’t have a chance. With OB getting 94% to 96% of the black vote, she needed 65% of then rest of the vote to win — a near impossibility that she came close to pulling off. Thanks to the unions, she didn’t.
That leaves us with a democracy that is no longer a democracy, and won’t become until a majority of the couch potatoes wake up and smell the pot burning. All this gun talk I hear among commenters is pure stupidity. The last thing we need is another Civil War.
People have to take the cotton out of their ears and start informing themselves. They are just not listening. I predicted this whole economic collapse based on demographic changes as early as 1994, and debated the economics editor of Barron’s in 1998, but got nowhere.
We need to get our brains out of hock from the TV moguls and the presstitutes who run our newspapers. I got my start in journalism as a 20-year-old in 1950 back when journalism was journalism. Today it is a disgrace.
Thanks Walter Scott Johnson for waking a few people up.

Folks here keep asking “what can we do? What can we do?” You sound so desperate. Yet consider the following:
If we are really doomed to socialism by Obama and his minions in both parties, then we will do what the soviets did: become guerrilla fighters, NO, not armed with guns necessarily, but subverters of the kind that inhabited the Soviet Union and its satellite countries.
The opposition there didn’t dare say anything or complain in public. But they didn’t show up to work either. And when they did, they were as unproductive as they could be for their Soviet slave holders. After all, they owned nothing. Why should they work?
I lived in Poland in the early 70s, with an older couple whose daughter was a doctor. Her brother had told me that she made only 100 zloties ($30) a month. Even then that was not enough to live on. I asked them both how anyone could live on that salary.
They both laughed in a way that meant I was hopelessly naïve, and she said “I sell doctor’s excuses.” He nodded affirmatively, grinning.
They assured me that all doctors in Poland were doing the same thing, charging good money to workers who didn’t want to work. It was their way of striking back.
This kind of tactic will eventually be commonplace in America and Europe if socialism keeps encroaching, and no one will have to instruct you in the tactics. You will do as human nature guides you. No one wants to be a slave and slaves have a way of punishing cruel and unfair masters.
I believe the time will come when they will no longer be able to overpower us. Their portfolios will dwindle and the rich overlords will become poor.
You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink!
Wait til it sinks in in Detroit that the US government owns their plants and their salaries are going down and inflation has eaten up their savings.
Wait, my friends. If Obama wants a Soviet Union here, then he will learn the history lesson he didn’t get in college: Leftwing dictatorships fail, inevitably.
This may not be the answer you were looking for, but going down fighting is better than going down as a coward. And the lessons America takes away will be worth more than all the money in the world.

Central bankers may be evil, but they are not stupid. Since the US dollar as reserve currency, and as the petro-dollar, is soon to be replaced, and the monetary scheme of fiat paper money exposed as the the greatest swindle ever perpetrated, an alternate wealth building and control mechanism needs to be established so the oligarchy can retain its power. Enter “global warming” and the carbon-credit!
This is really old news because the real purpose of the global warming scam was documented from the beginning. The “cold climate” and new ice age scam of the 70s did not go over well, so maybe global warming well serve their purpose better. Come on people, wake up!
“If you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” — Winston Churchill

Where does the good lord get his crack? Clearly it’s the good stuff.
Here’s the thing. Climate change doesn’t give a rat’s ass about your Constitution, communism, capitalism, or any ism for that matter. It’s simple a force of nature that we are unleashing on ourselves by continuing to pump gigatonnes of CO2, that has been trapped in rock for tens of millions of years, back into the atmosphere.
This guy’s screams of “commie” are simply designed to stir up the rabble. The “rabble” being you guys. Don’t be rabble. Listen to what scientists (not corporate lobbyists and shills) have to say. It’s happening, so let’s grow up and stop it.
And another thing… sooner or later we have to start thinking of governance on a planetary scale. It’s how things have been trending since we first started living in groups.
First tribes, villages, towns, cities, city-states, nations, and now planets. Deal with it.
Comment by John — October 17, 2009 #
No John, we’re not going to deal with it. Especially over a crock like AGW. You obviously missed Steve McIntyre’s destruction last month of the “hockey stick” CO2 chart that this entire farce is based on. Take a look at the temperature, CO2 and sea level charts Anthony Watts posted yesterday, read Ian Plimer’s “Heaven and Earth,” and take your head out of your ass. There is ZERO scientific support for AGW.
Comment by cbullitt — October 18, 2009 #
I struggle and fail to remain civil in response to the evangelizing of such stupidity. I imagine you’ve spend as much time reviewing Monckton’s scientific claims as you’ve clearly given to considering the value of your own sovereignty as an individual. The way things have been trending indeed. So, naturally, we should just go with the flow. You, sir, are a moron.

Pesently 31,478 scientists, 9,029 with PhDs, say to reject all “global warming” agreements, because they would damage the health and welfare of MANKIND. That is pretty clear.
Take a look at the “Summary of Peer Reviewed Research” supporting the truth that “global warming” is another political scam fostered by Globalists who want to rule the world. (Don’t they always!).

Walter – I will use your suggested letter template to post on websites I have access to. I believe we need to appeal directly to the White House as well as Congress on this – regardless of whether they actually consider such submissions or not.
I have also learned (via Twitter) that Glenn Beck has taken an interest in this and may be pursuing it this coming week. Hopefully enough public exposure will initiate some significant grass roots response.

Americans may be cowards (I may be one of them, I don’t know yet), but more than that Americans are uninformed, thanks to government controlled public education and corporate controlled media. Whether Americans are brainless or spineless, brainless AND spineless, or a “sleeping giant” with as-yet untapped resources of genuine patriotic courage and resolve, remains to be seen.
One hope: Chaos theory. No matter how smart they think they are they cannot anticipate and plan for every contingency.

We should all be careful of what Obama does. He has the power to initiate Martial Law. In that scenario, he can disband the house and senate. He can suspend the supreme court. He can mobilize the Armed services to enforce martial law. The acts so-far of this egomaniac shows that he is fully capable of doing this. Beware, be alarmed, be cautious of what you say. I have read all the entries on this subject to this point and no one has yet mentioned the fact that our government has never repealed the first ‘STATE OF EMERGENCY’(SOE)enacted when the ferderal reserve was enstated as our currency (circa 1930).
That was rammed through congress and the senate like grease through a goose.
Since the origianl SOE, there have been quite a few other SOE’s which were also not repealed. Since they have not been legally ‘nullified’ we in fact live in a state of emergency. The president can at any time evoke martial law which removes any and all constitutional rights and call in FEMA to deal with the problem (rebellion) until the treaty is ratified (black mail). It doesn’t matter if you have destroyed your ’strawman’ or not, your azz will be thrown in a fema prison camp as fast as anybody else.
We have been lied to from the highest office holders for at least two generations or more. That by definition is a conspiracy. It doesn’t matter if each peron in the chain didn’t know they were participating in a crime, it was designed that way. The lie works because deniability is preserved until the final stroke.
Y’all need to think this through before acting rashly… and for God’s sake use snail mail for important messaging! The NSA monitors every data frame on the internet for potential terrorists/patriots/hate thinkers/etc.

Hello all! I’ve been reading the draft treaty and I’ve pulled these tidbits from it. My comments in parentheses.
Page 125 # 4: “Highlighting that financial commitments have not been met by developed country Parties and other developed Parties included in Annex II and emphasizing the urgent need for these Parties to honour their commitments in accordance with Article 4, and in particular Articles 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5 of the Convention by providing resources to support adaptation, mitigation and technology transfer, developed country Parties and other developed Parties included in Annex II shall provide new and additional to ODA, predictable and sustained level of financial resources to support enhanced action on mitigation and adaptation in developing countries;” (The U.S. is one of the nations that must provide “predictable and sustained level of financial resources to support enhanced action on mitigation and adaption in developing countries if we sign the treaty according to the economic determiners in Annex II)
Page 125 Section 2 #6: “The objective of the provision of financial resources is to promote equity and justice through further enhancement of the full, effective and sustained implementation of the Convention and the Bali Action Plan, so that the ultimate objective of the Convention can be achieved.” (Who decides what is equitable? This just explains why they must have the ability to take money from developed countries to give to developing countries…because of equal justice.)
(The below two options are suggestions on ways to enforce funding. Who would collect such taxes? Therein lies the real goal of this treaty)
Page 135 Option 7: A [global] levy of 2 per cent on international financial market [monetary] transactions to Annex I Parties.
Page 135 Option 8 Agreed penalties or fines on non-compliance of developed country Parties with their commitments to reduce emissions and provide support in the form of financial resources, technology transfer and capacity-building.7
Page 145#71: Once its operations stabilize, the WCCF could establish functional connections with existing or potential carbon units, such as those from carbon market mechanisms under a post-2012 agreed outcome and mechanisms established under the Kyoto Protocol. (This treaty allows the WCCF, World Climate Change Fund, created by the treaty to adopt Kyoto Protocol Carbon caps. This treaty is a back-door to Kyoto!)
Page 145 #76 Subpoint (d): [The body created by the treaty shall] Impose financial penalties, at a minimum of ten times the market price of carbon, for any emissions in excess of the level implied by the emissions reduction commitment. (The treaty uses carbon cap and cap & trade policies to penalize countries that produce too much carbon, even if the signees haven’t passed home county cap & trade legislation.)

Although a treaty can be signed, it doesn’t mean the end of the United States or the beginning of a new world order. The professional speaker is right on a few issues but did not state the process of how treaties become approved or Federal law. All treaties signed must be approved by Congress to be ratified with review by the Supreme Court. Plus Federal law profits the ratification of any treaty overriding the Constitution. This is not to say everything would be written in the treaty clearly, but the Supreme Court would weight this!. Also take into account FOX NEWS and talk radio, they would be all over this in a heartbeat. They are far ahead of any news organization along with the NRA NEWS. Pulling in an audience of accumulative value of over 70 million. Pulling them all together in getting out the word, the switch boards of Capital along with servers would be stressed out. The peoples voice will be heard but will it be listened to?
If everything gets the green light and becomes ratified, states would break away from the union. Thus, the start of either a revolt for a change in Congress or this could get very messy. If there is a change in Congress, the treaty could be rendered unbinding. This simply means although there is a treaty, it doesn’t mean you’re going to abide by it. Look at the treaties between the different Indian Nations, NAFTA, etc. Look at the speakers creditable. People like this speaker like to speak and talk the talk, but the bottom line is still is to question. “WHAT IS IN THE TREATY”? WHAT MAKES THIS SPEAKER AN EXPERT IN HIS FIELD? WHERE DID HE GET THE INSIDE INFORMATION? He seems creditable but what is his agenda…to make money on a book, maybe he loves attention, everyone has an agenda! I will post the video on my sight to gather commentary. It would be interesting to hear what people would say.

Any Christian should be aware of the prophecies being fulfilled by the End Time movers and shakers. The whole world is currently dominated by the Roman Catholic Church and her Jesuit army.America’s only hope is to expel the Jesuits like every European country has done at least once. They have used our freedom of religion against us. That freedom will soon be outlawed unless we recognize the originator of our catastrophies! I fear we may not escape the End Game, but trust the lord is still to be found faithful! Remember the 1st church endured unspeakable atrocities at the hand of Rome, and the spirit of Rome is riding again. Don’t be destroyed in your faith if you face persecution. Jesus said that we would be hated if he was hated.

The bible was not written by ignorant shepherds or fishermen. It was written, as all ancient texts (religious or otherwise) were, by the educated (ruling) elite during times of virtually universal illiteracy. Biblical religion is a Sumerian/Babylonian mind-control system meant to keep the masses ignorant, fearful, and powerless.
It seems to be working, but thankfully a few of us are waking up.
Comment by MrB — October 22, 2009 #
Waking up to what, and to what end? If you take a look at The Venus Project, which is an organization which rejects religion and promotes the idea of a resource based economy without money (pretty much the intellectual epitome of atheistic humanist utopia), even they acknowledge (without realizing it) that someone needs to be in charge. They say their utopia would focus on the “intelligent use” of resources. Well, whose intelligence? When you take God out of the equation, by default, it would be some human being right? That human being would, in essence, be the god of the new society. Wouldn’t they? So what do we gain by “waking up” to the “mind-control system” of religion? Someone has to be in charge, always. Religion, specifically the Christian religion, puts God in charge and leaves individuals accountable to Him (a condition otherwise known as liberty). That is preferable to the alternative, namely tyranny.

Global Warming is just politically-correct Junk Science and the impact of MAN has nothing to do with it. CO2, is a trace gas and has very little to do with heating the atmosphere. Water vapor is six times a better heat absorber molecule for molecule, and with 200 times as many molecules has a net effect 1200 times that of carbon dioxide, but let’s not be troubled by facts when new taxes and controls could be had – follow the money!
Unfortunately the media and much of the Western World and its leadership are hoodwinked by Prophets of Doom and their ‘CONVENIENT’ Truth! The general public does not have the time, inclination, or the understanding to challenge the ‘Wizards of OZ!

>> You’re right about the law. We should start by prosecuting Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and maybe Powell for war crimes, violations of the Constitution and failure to properly regulate the financial industry.
You need to due your homework.
Bill Clinton singed into law a bill which allowed financial institutions to take-out insurance on high risk morgages. The intended consequence was to provided incentives for these financial insitutions to give loans to the poor.
However, there were 3 problems with the bill.
First, it did NOT require the insuree to be the morgage loaner.
Second, it did NOT stipulate a one morgage to one insurance policy relationship.
Third, since it was an insurance policy, it was outside the eyes of the regulators.
What happended is a bunch of financial institutions took out insurance policies on OTHER financial insitution’s morgages in HOPE that the morgagee would default. It would have been ILLEGAL for the Bush administration to have even KNOWN about the looming crisis.
So, your comment accusing the Bush administration of allowing the financial crisis is … stupid.
Comment by xJonx — October 21, 2009 #
Hello xjonx,
Both parties like to help people own their own homes, but the banks were first strong-armed by Carter to lend to the insolvent under the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act), which was all but dormant for years until Clinton put teeth in it and began harassing banks who did not lend to “underserved communities.” I voted for Dubbya 2x and used to carry his water, but can’t do that any more. Because here is what BUSH’s HUD site says at
http://www.hud.gov/news/release.cfm?content=pr05-014.cfm
“American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI). The 2006 Budget provides $200 million to fully fund this Initiative. ADDI helps first-time homebuyers with the biggest obstacles to homeownership – the downpayment and closing costs. Since President Bush signed this initiative into law, ADDI has helped more than 3,500 families to purchase their first home – of which more than half were minorities.”
“Zero Percent Downpayment Option. The Administration proposes a zero downpayment mortgage option in the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) [initially Bush and other repubs protested these FHA policies, but here is clear evidence teh caved big time] that would allow first-time buyers with a strong credit record [stong credit is not defined here, note that] to finance 100 percent of their home purchase including closing costs. The Budget also proposes a program called Payment Incentives, which would allow borrowers with limited or weak credit histories to purchase homes by initially paying higher mortgage insurance premiums that would gradually be reduced after a period of timely payments. In 2006, these new mortgage programs will help more than 250,000 families to buy a home of their own [and then have them repossessed by the bank, thank you Mr. Bush]”
American Dream is used today mostly in Latin America (I am married to a Panamanian) and it is code for what lures Latins here. This was written for illegals, guaranteed.
But worse is the second heading: Zero Downpayment is a terrible idea that no bank would ever think of on its own. ONLY government could induce banks to lend this way. It went hand in hand with the no-doc policy by which people (again, often illegal aliens) were able to buy a home without producing a single document.
These ideas are suicidal in themselves from a financial standpoint, but added to them were other goodies like derivatization of debt, which made it possible to multiply losses far beyond the instrument on which the losses were based–a recipe for a WORLD crisis. Bush (and McCain) made a few peeps about such policies at first, then decided he wanted to be liked by his enemies. The GOP is over the cliff.

Epitaph: LIES. ALL LIES.
Technically, we’ve never been free. We were born corporate chattle, and that’s how most of us will probably die. We are now and have always been a colony of Great Britain. Our courts are governed by Maritime Law, aka the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Law, as we undertstand it, has very little to do with the Constitution, which explains why it appears to becoming irrelevant. The Constitution has ALWAYS been irrelevant, except as misdirecton to placate the public. Look at your mortgage, if you have one. You are described/defined as a TENANT, with the right to pass title, but without the right to unconditionally OWN.
Lies. All lies.

Actually, “technically”, we all have freedom of choice.
Did you ever enter into a valid contract stipulating you have no inalienable rights? (HINT: by definition it is not possible. You can not even GIVE your inalienable rights away).
Did you ever pass power of attorney to some other party to represent you in any contract stipulating you are corporate chattle?
To excercize your freedom of choice, you are going to need a bigger club than your enemy. Such has always been, and so it is now.
If you choose, forget the Constitution, forget Maritime Law,
forget contract law, even ignore Natural Law if you wish.
Just ask yourself, do you want to live free, or die?
If you want to live, be prepared to fight the enemy that wants to kill you.

The Constitution and American Sovereignty…
Lord Mocknton is not correct in saying
“… your constitution says that it [ the treaty ] takes precedence over your constitution.”
The U.S. Constitution ALWAYS takes precedence over any treaty… the constitution is THE authority that gives ANY treaty authority.
Jeremy Rabkin from George Mason University spoke at a Hillsdale College sponsored event June 5, 2009, in Washington, D.C., in the “First Principles on First Fridays” lecture series sponsored by Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship. It was printed in the July/August 2009 issue of Imprimis.
The Constitution and American Sovereignty
>> http://www.hillsdale.edu/images/userImages/jcarr/Page_4221/ImprimisJulyAug09.pdf
“The Constitution provides for treaties, and even specifies that treaties will be “the supreme Law of the Land”; that is, that they will be binding on the states.
“But from 1787 on, it has been recognized that for a treaty to be valid,
>> “it must be consistent with the Constitution —
>> “that the Constitution is a higher authority than treaties.
“And what is it that allows us to judge whether a treaty is consistent with the Constitution?
“Alexander Hamilton explained this in a pamphlet early on:
>> ‘A treaty cannot change the frame of the government.’
“And he gave a very logical reason:
>> “It is the Constitution that authorizes us to make treaties.
“If a treaty violates the Constitution, it would be like an agent betraying his principal or authority. ”
The debate has begun…
If ANY U.S. President signs a treaty that is contrary to the authority of the U.S. Constitution and cedes American sovereignty, is this an impeachable ‘high crime” offense AGAINST the U.S. Constitution???
What is NOT “protecting and defending” the U.S. Constitution authority if it is NOT a “high crime” against “we the people” of America?
Is ceding American sovereignty a “high crime” against we the people? Yes…? No…?
I vote yes!!!
Re: “…betraying his principal or authority” and the ‘IMPEACHMENT’ word… for rejecting and subverting the authority of the U.S. Constitution.
If, as President, Obama signs ANY treaty to surrender possession of U.S. sovereignty to an international body… IMPEACHMENT is the constitutional next step because by ceding U.S. sovereignty, Obama is NOT protecting and NOT defending the Constitution of the United States.
So, even if a treaty that cedes U.S. sovereignty can NOT be superior to the U.S. Constitution and binding on America… an impeachment proceeding for ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ MUST begin immediately if “high crime” means anything in America today… and if the whimpy Republicans and lap-dog Democrats are up for a constitutional fight to “protect and defend” the Constitution of the United States!!!
Ceding American sovereignty by treaty definitely could be included in Obama’s statement before his inauguration, “… we are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America…”
Comment by Art Telles — October 24, 2009 #
Can the government cede American sovereignty? Of course not!
The USA federal “government” has not been legitimate for a long time.
Some might even say it was never ligitimate, the arguement being the Constitution was never legally binding, either under Maritime Law, or Contract law. But even it you agree Maritime Law is binding, or Contract Law is binding, or the discovery of Natural Law means that is what we should be observing, we still need to face facts.
Actually, “technically”, all one can only truely say is we all have freedom of choice (realizing there will be consequences of choosing).
Did you ever enter into a valid contract stipulating you have no inalienable rights? Of course maybe one does not believe in inalienable rights.(HINT: by definition it is not possible. You can not even GIVE your inalienable rights away. You can deny them, even to yourself, and governments like to do that a lot to you, but then that is the problem, isn’t it?)
Did you ever pass power of attorney to some other party to represent you in any contract stipulating you are corporate chattle? If not then Maritime Law does not apply either.
How about Contract Law? If you own land, and another party sells it without your permission, that is a criminal offense. Enough said about that.
If you choose, forget the Constitution, forget Maritime Law,
forget contract law, even ignore Natural Law if you wish.
Just ask yourself, do you want to live free, or die?
If you want to live free, be prepared to fight the enemy that wants to enslave you.

Joshua said “as for me and my house; we will serve the Lord!” So will I. My faith is strong and whatever happens, I will put my faith in God to protect me. That does not mean I have to stand by quietly and let our nation’s leaders destroy this country that was built on Godly principles. I think a petition though, not guns and violence, is the answer. If enough of my fellow Americans put pen to paper, or in this age, fingers to keypads, the government will have to listen. If the government doesn’t heed to the cries of the masses and protect the rights afforded us in the Constitution; then it’s every man for himself. If I’m not mistaken, isn’t the whole point of a community (country) so we don’t have to fend for ourselves. That we come together to best serve all the members in our communities, states, and country. Violence doesn’t serve; it destroys. Ask those in Iraq and Afghanistan if violence has helped them any.
Mr. President, if you happen to read this, Shame on you for stirring up this mess. You are supposed to invoke the will of the people. Why do you say someone would have to be in charge? why cant i just be in charge of myself? who needs or is asking someone to be in charge?
Comment by fk your govt — November 3, 2009 #
Someone else has to be in charge because you are not capable of being wholly responsible. We all acknowledge this. Those of us who are religious acknowledge it by pointing to God and saying He is in charge. Those who reject God point to the void of leadership and demand someone fill it. In short, your liberty is derived from God. There is no other source. If you reject God, the void will be filled by someone else. If you reject God, unalienable rights become arbitrary. This is why the Declaration of Independence began with an acknowledgment of Nature and Nature’s God. I’m not saying you have to be religious, or submit to someone else’s idea of who or what God is. But you have to acknowledge God’s place in the hierarchy of Creation, or others will seize the wheel in His stead. There is no argument for liberty other than we are each accountable to the Lord.
Comment by Walter Scott Hudson — November 3, 2009 #
Not sure which lord you follow, but my liberty is derived from my flesh, blood, breath, strength, will power, thought process, and in general everything inside the perimeter of me. I think you are applying your own philosophy to all of mankind. The laws of nature you follow, where are these laws written and who created them? The best laws for you may not always be the best laws for me. Therefore your god would be wrong if his law did not apply positively to all natures life in general. In other words, I am my lord, and yes, I am accountable to myself, and hold myself accountable for all my actions.

Obama is just a figure head not voted in by the people but installed by the illuminati. The vote is meaningless in Federal Elections.
I know we are supposed to be a free country and all that good stuff that goes along with freedom.
But we lost our country when Roosevelt signed us into bankruptcy in 1933.
The Federal Reserve runs the show and if they want us to be a part of this bull that Obama is going to sign into law then so be it.
We lost our freedom when the Roosevelt Regime turned us into a communist satilate, we helped the commies win WWll by sending them weapons and equipment along with a few spys who knew Hitlers Enigma Codes, plus the spy inside Hitlers inner-circle.
We and the rest of the world have been run by the illuminati since the inception of the Federal Reserve in 1913 by Woodrow Wolson who was being blackmailed by the Rothchilds. The perverted professor had to sell us out or he would have a lot of explaing to do about his girl friend on the campus of Princeton…………………
Check out the Communist Manifesto and the United Nations Bill Of Rights: they are almost exactly word for word.
We have been duped into believing that our country is a Democracy which in fact most of the founding fathers had no use for, Jefferson called a democracy the rule of the MOB.
Our wonderful country started it’s great life as a Republic.
If you recall when saying the pledge of alligence, One nation under God and to the Repupblic for which it stands.
The Godless Commies have been removing all christian values from our society for years, lie prayer in school, letting gays get married which is like spitting in Gods eye. I too am skeptical about how things may be done. But I am also an observer who lets my eyes see what is for real or not real out in the world around me. Having eyesight means that I can determine if something truly exists or not because my eyes cannot lie. And I can even photograph and plot on some map what these eyes of mine do see. Such a series of photographs over a number of years of a particular area can reveal much about what is truly happening or not. Photographs have always historically played a role as EVIDENCE in determining the guilt or innocence of a culprit in courts of law. So why not use them when it comes to determining such things that pertain to global climate change????
That is what some of us have done. I.e. photograph the TROPICAL RAINFORESTS of South America. And as any middle school student will tell you we do it because trees play a massive role in taking in our exhales of carbon dioxide and putting out oxygen so that we can breathe further. It’s not Einstein type science.
So what exactly do the photographs show us? They show us that 32 million acres of tropical rainforest are destroyed each year, an amount of land equivalent to the state of Mississippi. At that rate, humans would have destroyed rainforest acreage the size of the United States in less than (50) years. Then add to that scenario further photos of some of our leading areas of industry around the world and the sights of multitudes of smoke stacks all spewing out contaminants into the atmosphere at once. Few have “electrical precipatators” to trap such emissions because of cost. Those are just a few of the FACTS that can be seen by the eyes of us that can see. So unless we are a bunch of blind men we have absolutely no reason to be in such DENIAL about the state of our world. The only other cause of such blindness can be a state of internal hysteria. It’s called
“HYSTERICAL BLINDNESS.” And it occurs when a person or a people are in a panic over something.
So what is that PANIC all about??? That panic revolves around the great fear of losing a way of life that we have gotten use to. We internally imagine how our businesses are being threatened with environmental restrictions that will make doing business even harder than what they already have experienced. So we fight back against any necessary change. We deny the objective realities before our eyes. Such fears are understandable but not reasonable because in the final analysis our reluctance to change could be the very thing that does in our businesses for us in the end.
So come on people into the memory of how America has always been a country of CREATIVE and INVENTIVE people. Those positive qualities have been what has made America great. And they can do it once again in regards to how our businesses reside in the world. I do think that INVENTIVE MINDS can find the ways necessary for both business, lifestyle and environmental health to co-exist. I’m thinking of the man who quite recently just submitted his research from getting energy from water to the Department of Energy and the Pentagon. His work was entirely revolutionary and unlike anything seen when it came to getting energy from water. It wasn’t about hydroelectric use but about an ability of water that totally surprised me. Whether it is clean or not or even doable has yet to be determined. But that is not my point.
My point is instead of digging in one’s heels into the turf and fighting the obvious all the way, why not put our collective heads together and get to work on exploring what can be done that benefits all sides of the opposition. It is time to stop the endless debate that uses up precious time and become DOERS instead. We use to be a nation of DOERS. “Men of Action” we use to call ourselves. Now we just go round and round with words and more words stalmating each other into some BLACK HOLE in outer space. It’s like watching some dog chase its tail endlessly into time.
I have complete confidence in mankind’s ability to BE CREATIVE and INVENTIVE. And I have even more confidence in American INGENUITY. It’s that GREAT FRONTAL LOBE of ours that can be put to better use than all of the WORD GAMES that we presently play with each other. We can rise above all the endless rhetoric that whirlpools us down into some sinkhole somewhere. We can stop acting like adversarial children on some playground somewhere that are trying to get “THE LAST SLAP” in over what we disagree about. There can be a WIN-WIN to this. But it means putting our EGOS aside.
The imperative of finding “COMMON GROUND” can not be stated enough. For to be as FRAGMENTED as we are in this country only leaves us weakened and vulnerable to future attacks from our enemies, which could bring us down. The Jihad is on a mission to do just that. But here we are fighting amongst ourselves, which distracts us from showing a UNITED FRONT to those who wish us harm. Isn’t time for that to stop and get inventive instead?????????????????

I COMPLETELY disagree with the thrust of your argument, especially that part which remarks on that matter of ‘weather’ effects.
.
Any truly HONEST evaluation of the facts regarding that matter of weather, will reveal that humans have not –in any way– affected the ENTIRE ecosystem of the Earth itself.
.
Rather, what affects humans have had is =ENTIRELY= in the local sense of things.
.
Further, you’ve COMPLETELY neglected to consider that matter of the Sun and other sources of external radiation.
.
The Earth has been COOLING for the last decade, and it is getting cooler still.
.
A proper evaluation of just the Sun spot record itself placed alongside a history of the Earth’s over all temperatures and other weather effects, will reveal that the external sources have had –and continue to have– a far greater effect on the matter of weather than even the mightiest effects of Man.
.

I totally agree with getting inventive, but I don’t trust the government with that power. When a dishonest government such as the one we have in the US today and for decades past obtains even more control over industry and power, that government becomes more dictatorial. It is time we stop handing all the power over to the scum in DC. Frankly, it is time we take that power back.

One last thing must be added to my Nov.10th comment above. It pertains to my conern that I share with this blog and Conservatives, which is my SKEPTICISM over how global climate change is to be handled by governments. There are certain ways of handling this that just make me cringe. I can see possible repercussions to society that would not be good. So it behooves us as citizens to be the first to take the environmental bull by the horns on our own, before government has time to step in and take over for us in ways that we don’t like. If we have addressed the evironmental issues independently with actions of our own from the private sector, government has less of a chance to do it for us. That puts more power and control in our hands then when we take such “INITIATIVES”. But it means getting over our rationalizations and delusions that there are not even any environmental problems in the first place. We have to take our BLINDERS off and get to work before government does. That way we are the ones making the decisions about businesses and lifestyle co-existing with a healthy climate and environment without government interference. It’s called “BEATING THEM TO THE PUNCH” when it comes to environmental problems.

BEGIN SARCASM:
.
Why, yes. Yes! Let US cut our own throats before THEY do, and ‘beat them to the punch!’
.
End sarcasm.
.
You’ll please pardon me here, but regardless what any of us might do, it will ~never~ be enough for the cadre.
.
NEVER.
.
If they declare that we must eat less food, some people will starve themselves first and declare “See? I’ve done ~my~ part!”
.
But the cadre will thence declare that ~yet more~ needs to be done and thence demand that the already starved be additionally deprived.
.
You’re a fool to play into their hands.
.
If you must do something, then do it FOR yourself, and NOT for them. DO NOT fall prey to their propaganda, and REFUSE to comply to their demands.

Dear Highlander,
I left a message for you on “The Fighten Words”
website, rather than use the “reply” method of responding to
you. Did you get it???? You might want to read it.
Maybe you are just busy and have not looked at this
site for awhile. Or you are reluctant about letting it be
known just how little science training that you have,
particularly in the field of climate studies. Which is it??
The problem with the internet is that due to the fact
that commentors can remain annonymous, its readers can be
misled. The readers think that they are getting someone who
is educated in climate studies and an expert, when they are
not. And nobody will know this most pertinent fact in
regards to their credentials because the commentor has given
no name and no resume on his or her background in regards
to training and job experiences. That is when the readers
begin to suspect that the commentor is just blowing a lot of
hot air around on subjects that he truly does not understand.
So once again I ask, “What exactly are your credentials in
the area of climate studies? What coursework have you taken?
Name the science courses from your college studies and their
level of advancement. All college coursework is ranked
according to its higher or advanced level in comparison
to introductory coursework which hardly has anything in it.
And if you have not taken any such college coursework, then
name which scientists you have been using as your references.
Include the institution that they belong to because some
institutions are better than others. Then tell me if you even
checked on your scientist’s credentials. There are ways to
find out if the particular scientist that you have been
using is highly rated and respected in his field or not.
Scientists even rank themselves with peer rankings because
some are more competent than others. So tell me. Did you or
did you not investigate your own references before spouting
off???????A simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ will do.
You have a moral obligation to let your readers know
these things. Otherwise your silence can be construed as you
just being another self-appointed EMPEROR WHO IS NOT WEARING
ANY CLOTHES OF PROPER INFORMATION.

Dear Highlander,
I think that you missed my point in the P.S. addition to my original comment. How in the world do you interpret my saying that we need to be “inventive” and “creative” as a death wish for “cutting my own throat before they do”, as you replied? As I understand my own words, they mean to take productive and positive action that makes life better for myself. Yet you still say to me, “If you must do something, do it for yourself and not for them”, with’them’ referring to government and politicians. I thought that I made it very clear that I meant “doing something for myself and not for government.” Didn’t I also say, ‘ my concern or skepticism is over how global climate change is to be handled by government’???????? I even said that there “are certain ways that government could handle this that make me CRINGE.” To ‘cringe’ in regards to government, who I don’t trust, is as the dictionary says, ” is to bend over as in a death agony”,as in “a shrinking from something dangerous or painful”, which once again is referring to government. I can’t make it any more clear than that. I think government can be very dangerous, especially in these particular times. And because of that I have been taking a stand with government with my fist held high in the air, just like you. I think that even government would see me as willing to take issue with it and willing to fight for what I believe in with them. They’ve certainly heard from me enough already as one of their biggest adversaries and critics. And they will be hearing more in the future if I think that they have crossed the line once again. So aren’t we at least somewhat on the same page, you and I ????????????
Secondly, I want to address your words of my “needing to stick to the FACTS and not the hyperbole.” Now I could be wrong, but the way you wrote your reply and what you said suggests that you may not have much SCIENCE in your background. So if I may ask, “Just what are your credentials in the science area???????” I’d be curious in knowing what that might be. Quite often I have noticed that people spout off on things that they don’t know much about. Instead they are regurgitating up someone else’s thoughts and ideas on things, which they really don’t understand. Then they take this second hand information and take it as gospel, without doing their own checking of their source’s credentials and standing in the scientific community. We call them ” blind followers” on the coat tails of second rate scientists. So again I ask, “Just what are your credentials in science, particularly in the area of climate??? What coursework have you taken??? And how far in the science of climate have you gone in college???? Do you have a masters degree, a doctorate??? And for what scientific agency do you actually work for????? Spell it out. Such information about yourself would tell me if you are truly able to “honestly evaluate the facts.” Do YOU even know the facts?????
Thirdly, I have to give an obvious ‘yes’ to the fact that the planet has experienced climate changes on its own without our interference. It is a “Yes” that I have been saying for decades now. And it does my heart good when people, like you, finally admit that such climate changes can even exist, after all the ‘naysaying’ to it that I have seen. For years the naysayers have refuted that global climate change existed even on a NATURAL basis. So now that we finally agree that it can exist in some form. We can now go from there with the further question of, ‘Why then aggravate an already natural event as being created by nature by contributing to such things as “DEFORESTATION” and “THOUSANDS OF INDUSTRIAL SMOKESTACKS SPEWING TONS OF CONTAMINANTS into the atmosphere?’ Why hurry the process, even a natural one, along by doing such things????

Dear Skeptical Observer — November 10, 2009,
.
The more verbose you become, the less inclined I am to offer any kind reply, inasmuch as I have neither the time nor the inclination to address the multiple issues raised by yourself.
.
Concentrate on just ONE point, keep it brief and you’ll ‘hear’ from me.
.
Otherwise? Forget it.

Dear Highlander,
Sorry. I thought that you were a speed reader. So I’ll
repeat for the third time my ONE POINT, which is just exactly
what are your credentials in the science of climate studies??
??????????????
Briefly name your coarsework and degrees that you have in this
area. If they are not in this area, what area are they
in????????

Dear “Warming Up……”
Do I hear an echo???? Or are you only warming up for finally
answering the question of ‘what your education or ‘coarsework’ is
in??? Or are you or “Highlander” just avoiding the question????? I
suspect that it might be due to the latter. I.e. ‘avoidance.” And
if so that says alot. Doesn’t it??????????

The reason ~why~ most people don’t bother replying to your idiot questions is because, well, they’re ‘idiot’ questions.
